SERVICE LINE MATERIALS INVENTORY
Kilkenny has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at 507-595-3999.
To complete the service line inventory our system sent out a survey to all residents, and the Water Operator and City Clerk verified each address. As of 11/12/2024 our inventory contains 0 lead, 0 galvanized requiring replacement, 1 unknown material, and 101 non-lead service lines.
Dog License Application
Dog License Applications are DUE January 1st, 2025
If you are a dog owner in the City of Kilkenny, please fill out the Dog License Application, and submit to the City Clerk along with proof of the Rabies Vaccination in order to receive the 2025 dog tag. The fee is $5 per dog.
More copies of the Application can be found on the City Website or at the First National Bank in Kilkenny.
Subd. 2 License Required.
A. All dogs over the age of six months kept, harbored, or maintained by their owners in the City, shall be licensed and registered with the City. Dog licenses shall be issued by the Clerk-Treasurer upon payment of the license fee. The owner shall state, at the time application is made for the license and upon forms provided for such purpose, his or her name and address and the name, breed, color, and sex of each dog owned or kept by him or her. No license shall be granted for a dog, which has not been vaccinated against rabies, as provided in this Section. Vaccination shall be performed only by a doctor qualified to practice veterinary medicine in the state in which the dog is vaccinated. A veterinarian who vaccinates a dog to be licensed in the City shall complete a certificate of vaccination. One copy shall be issued to the dog owner for affixing to the license application.
B. It shall be the duty of each owner of a dog subject to this Section to pay to the Clerk-Treasurer the license fee as imposed by the Council by resolution.
